My best reads of 2022 so far ...
It’s the end of May and I’ve read 8 books in 2022 (number 9 is just around the corner). The number is not as high as I would want it to be, but I’m pretty much on track of reading 20 books by the end of the year. So without further ado, let’s see which ones are my favorite.
Monroe Doctrine: Volume I (James Rosone & Miranda Watson)
This book in an action-packed page-turner on steroids! So much is going on and there’s a lot more to come as there are seven books in this series. I’m really impressed so far.
Save the Cat! Writes a Novel (Jessica Brody)
One should follow the rules when writing a book. The first rule being, You do not talk about… Just kidding. This book has taught me a lot and if you’re an author yourself or intending to become one, this book should be on your to-read list.
A Caller’s Game (J.D. Barker)
Another thriller that just keeps you on the edge of your seat. From the moment I discovered Barker’s The Fourth Monkey, I became a huge fan of his work and so far I’m impressed by his talent and writing skills.
Until the Last of Me (Take Them to the Stars #2, Sylvain Neuvel)
I found Neuvel’s Sleeping Giants while browsing through the SF bookshelf in a bookstore. He bought me with the first chapter and I’ve read everything he published so far. If you like history and don’t mind if it’s altered a little, this series is for you.
This is it. I was considering doing Top 3, then Top 5 and I’ve settled for 4 books that I loved this year. If you find your next read among them, that would be awesome. If not, just keep on reading what you like.
